The Happy Woman’s Club is a place where women can participate in engaging social activities and find support from others who understand what it’s like to be a female immigrant. On January 23 2010, we held our first meeting of the club and asked attendees to give us their hopes and ideas for the direction of the club. We’ve since taken these suggestions and designed a club for women that will evolve to provide a variety of programs and resources.

• Business seminars • Concerts and Art events • Assistance with relocation and obtaining professional services • Assistance in obtaining benefits and understanding immigrant rights • Aerobics • Cooking classes • Spiritual groups • Parenting classes • Computer classes The HWC has attracted the support of many local businesses. Our last gathering featured a raffle and half the women in attendance won spa gift certificates, free massages and much more.
